Kenneth R. Swain, Jr.
Kenneth Robert Swain, Jr., of Rumson, died peacefully on June 12, 2016. He attended Glen Ridge Public Schools and following graduation he served our Country in the US Army. He graduated with a Business Degree from Radford University. For the last 30 years, he had a successful career on Wall Street, making life-long friendships along the way, most recently as a Managing Director at BTIG. Kenny was a larger than life man with the biggest of hearts, who was often the first to volunteer his time and support to the community. He was on the Board of AYF and Touchdown Club and coached football and basketball.
He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and an amazing friend. He had a special way of making you feel like the most important person in the room, leaving a lasting legacy in his seven beautiful children.
Kenny is survived by his wife of 16 years, Kim Swain; his children Meghan, Kenny, Tommy, John, Julia, Paige and Colin; his sister Diane Swain Korsh of Encinitas, CA; his brother Clifford Swain of Moneta, VA; his parents Kenneth and Carol Swain of Moneta, VA, and his loving in-laws and beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 15th from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on FRIDAY, June 17th at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 30 Ward Avenue, Rumson. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. A message from Hugh... Brother by the wayside helped me years ago as I fell off into alcoholism. If you knew me imagine that. Pace Cub Ship and Flemming helped me through that time. I was and remain grateful. I got word today Ken Swain passed. I am sad for his family. Through some tough moments he tried to teach me being elite meant reaching down deep. How many times did I bathe Louie his dog??? I miss sig ep and playing baseball at RU. I made the most of it. I do miss Sig Swain and Bund. God bless. Ya mamma ya daddy sig ep.
